FAA Finally Removes Mobile Device Ban On Airplanes
After the Federal Aviation Administration announced Friday that it would begin easing restrictions on passengers’ use of electronic devices during flights, JetBlue captured the new policy in a video.
Passengers on Delta and JetBlue airlines can now use personal electronic devices, like iPods and Nexus 7 tablets, throughout the entire flight, including during takeoff and landing.
Both companies confirmed Friday that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved their requests to allow customers to use their gadgets. The FAA finally eased its regulations on the usage of electronic devices during flight on Thursday, after months of wrangling. JetBlue andDelta quickly filed their FAA requests shortly after the announcement in an effort to become the first airlines to take advantage of the rule change.
Deploying a team of two videographers, JetBlue created the video below, which shows its first moments of in-flight gadget use. Great News.
