A New Device Looks To Prevent Teens/People From Texting While Driving
A new system which prevents people from texting while driving has been tested, and is about to enter into the marketplace. With the ORIGOSafe system, the driver must First insert their smartphone into the device on the vehicle’s console. While driving, ORIGO only allows a driver to make or receive hands free calls via Bluetooth. If the phone is removed at all while driving, the parent receives an alert, and the driver will be unable to start the car until the admin designates ( similar to OnStar). The only way the phone can be used in the vehicle is if the car has the emergency brake on.
